“Juan are you ready for your first day of school today?” said mom.

“Yes mom but I am a little bit nervous,” said Juan.
“Don’t be nervous instead be excited.”
“Ok mom I will try not to be nervous.”
“You should also try to make new friends since it will be your sophomore year this year.” 
“Yes mom I know mom I will.”
‘Ok son you should leave already before it gets late for you.”
“Bye mom I will see you later when I get home from school,” said Juan.
“Bye Juan love you,” said mom.
Juan gets to his high school  Benjamin High. The sports high school. It is five miles away from his house so his mom has to take him everyday.
“Hey Juan you ready for our sophomore year?” asked Jose.
“Yeah I am are you ready for it,” said Juan.
The bell rings for first and second period.
“Hey Juan you should come sit by me and Carlos,” said George.
“Sure this is already third period right?” asked Juan.
“Yeah it is,” said Carlos.
“Who is that girl right there,” said Juan.
“That is the cutest girl here,” said Carlos.
“What is her name Carlos,” said Juan.
“I don’t think that you can get her,” said George.
“Well I think I can,” said Juan.
“But anyways her name is Julia,” said Carlos.
“Does Julia have a boyfriend?” asked Juan.
“Yes she has been going out with him since the summer I heard,” said Carlos.
“She is really cute,” said Juan.
“Just get over it because you won’t be able to get her,” said George.
“I’m still going to go to her after class and tell her that she is cute,” said Juan.
“Try to get her number then,” said Carlos.
“I will what will you give me if I don’t get it?” asked Juan.
“I’ll buy you your lunch tomorrow,” said Carlos.
After Carlos tells him that he goes and talks to the cute girl Julia.
“Hey my name is Juan,” said Juan.
“Hello my name is Julia,” said Julia.
“Do you have a phone?” asked Juan.
“Yeah why?” asked Julia.
“May I please have your phone number?” asked Juan.
“No I have a boyfriend and he might get mad at me or both of us!” said Julia.
“Do you see that really tall and strong guy over there?” asked Julia.
“Yeah is he your boyfriend?” asked Juan.
“Yes he is,” said Julia.
“Oh okay but I also came to tell you that you’re really cute,” said Juan.
“Oh thank you very much but don’t say that out loud because Gabriel will hear,” said Julia.
“You are very welcome,” said Juan.
“You are pretty cute yourself too Juan,” said Julia.
“Hey you are you talking to my girlfriend?” asked Gabriel.
“Yeah I am,” said Juan. Gabriel looks at Juan with a very angry face.
Juan continued
“What are you going to do?” asked Juan.
“Well back off she is my girlfriend!” said Gabriel.
Juan takes a swing at Gabriel . Gabriel dodges the swing. After Juan takes a nasty one in the face. After that happens Gabriel takes his girlfriend to her class.
“I thought you could have got her number.” said Carlos.
“Just shut up.” said Juan.
Carlos starts to laugh at Juan.
Juan just gets a sad face.
“It’s not my fault you could not get Julia’s phone number.” said Carlos.
“I already have a bad day on the first day of my sophomore year today.” said Juan.
“That sucks for you Juan.” said Carlos.
“I remember when I was in the eighth grade I would get all the girls.” said Juan.
“Yeah but that was like two years ago.” said Carlos.
“I know right but that is like the cutest girl here.” said Juan.
“No she isn’t there is more cute girls here.” said Carlos.
“Not even she is the cutest one.” said Juan.
“Ok I think we should go to our fourth period.” said George.
“Alright then guys lets go to our fourth period class.” said Juan.
“What is fourth period for you guys?” asked Carlos.
“For me it is geometry.” said Juan.
“For us too.” said George.
Juan sees Julia again in his fourth period class.
“Hey Juan look it is that cute girl again the one that you saw in our other period.” said George.
“I know I already saw her once she came into the classroom.” said Juan.
Fourth period and fifth period go by.
“Hey Juan do you want to go to lunch and eat outside?” asked Carlos.
“Sure where are we going go and out?” asked Juan.
Juan, Carlos, and George go and eat to a place nearby.
“This place is so good.” said Juan.
“I know right this place sells some really good tacos.” said Carlos.
“I have not heard or seen this place.” said Juan.
“Really.” said George.
The three boys leave the restaurant to go back to school. The rest of the school day goes by. Then his dad picks him up after school. On the way home his dad asks him a few questions about his first day of school as a sophomore.
“Hey son how was your day today at school,” asked his dad.
“It was a really good day,” said Juan.
“That is good for you to have good days at school son.”
“How was your day at work?”
“It was a really good day for me too son.”
Then they arrive at their house. As soon as he walked in his mom asked him how his day go at school for him. He told her that he had a good day and that he met new people like she had told him to do. Juan walks up stairs to his room and works on his homework all day until his friends call him to go to the park nearby to go play a little match of soccer. Juan goes running down the stairs.
“Where are you going?” asked Juan’s mom.
“I am going to the park to play soccer with my friends,” said Juan.
“Did I even give you permission son?”

“No but please just let me go please!”
“You have not ate nothing yet at least take some fruit and water.”
So Juan takes his bag and gets fruit and water and leaves to go play soccer with his friends to the nearby park. Juan runs all the way to the park to get there as soon as possible. When Juan gets there he sees the girl he has a crush on. Which is Julia. He gets there and his friends are still not there at the park. He sees that Julia is alone so he goes and starts to talk to her.
“Hey Julia it’s me Juan,” said Juan.
“Oh hey I remember you,” said Julia.
“What are you doing her alone?”
“I’m just here reading books.”
“What are you doing here Juan?”
So Juan and Julia stay there talking for like an hour and a half. After Juan sees that his friends are walking on the side walk. After he also sees one more guy coming up behind them.  The
guy was Gabriel. Juan gets off the bench where he was talking with Julia and he goes straight to Gabriel. Gabriel tells him…
“What do you want you wimp.”
“I am not any wimp but just leave the park now!”
“Why should I you would not do anything if I didn’t.”
Juan takes a swing at Gabriel and hits him on the right eye. Gabriel falls to the ground and Juan gets on top of him. Julia cries….
“Please get of him don’t hurt him anymore please Juan.”
Then Juan gets off of Gabriel. After Gabriel tells Julia for them to leave. Juans friends tell him man you got him this time. Then Jose says…..
“I think we should go play the soccer match already.”
So Juan and his friends start to play the match. After the match is over Juan walks home. It takes him a half an hour to get there. As soon as he got there he walked in fast and his mother stopped him.
“Son what happened to you on the left eye?” asked his mother.
“That is nothing mom I just got hit while playing soccer,” said Juan.
“It doesn’t look like a hit just from playing soccer.”
“It is a hit mom believe me.”
“Ok son.”
“All I need is an ice pack.”
Juan goes running up the stairs to his bed room. He goes and thinks about what Julia had told him. He was starting to think that she liked him how he liked her. He kept on thinking in his head how he was going to ask her out the next morning at school.  He wakes up and hurries up on everything. He tells his mom to hurry up and take him to school. In the morning he runs to Julia’s locker.
“Hey Julia would you go out with me?” asked Juan.
“Yes I do want to go out with you,” said Julia.
After that they were the happiest people on the earth. Later that day he went again to the park. He said…
“One shot is all it takes.”
After that day he would only hang out with his girlfriend Julia. The whole year went by just hanging out with her. One day they went to a party for all the sophomores. Juan and his girlfriend went and all his friends. That day Juan died. The Guy Gabriel had shot him. After they shot him one of Juan’s friend heard that Gabriel said…
“One shot was all it took!”
