He Loves Me
June 10, 2014. It’s been a whole 3 days or 72 hours or 4,320 minutes or 259,200 seconds since Johnny and I met. He was wearing an oversized jersey with the number 8 in bold smack in the center. I can still remember his teeth shining in the stadium lights. He was walking from the concession stand carrying one large orange soda and a medium popcorn. Intermission was almost over. He was rushing in my direction. I saw him coming but I felt like it would be foolish of me to move. So I stood, I stood tall and upright. I was a girl whose feet were rooted in cement. Suddenly his shoulder met mine with a hard thrust.
“ Sorry hun”.
“It’s beyond fine..”
From that moment on I knew who I was meant to be. His wife. God had ordained this. That was the only explanation. From that point on it was mandatory that Mr. Fine and I must become acquaintances.
That’s how we met,now we’re inseparable.
We recently started this routine. We take walks every evening. Johnny Pooh usually waits for me on the park bench right across from the big dilapidated tree. We usually try to match in our attire. Like he’ll wear sweats and i will too! I always bring his asthma pump ,he’s so irresponsible so he leaves it back at home a lot. We would normally start our walk around four o’clock. He tends to walk in front of me but that’s because he likes me to submit and follow his lead. He’s the best. He likes to be spontaneous at times. Sometimes when we’re on our walks we play this game. He’ll randomly peak back. That’s my cue. I can often tell by the way he looks back he wants to start our game. So he’ll peak and i’ll chase. He’s quite fast though. He screams “STOP FOLLOWING ME” every time but that’s just because he’s a little kinky. That’s his idea of “role play”. We’ve been rehearsing this so much ,that he gets better at it every time.
Today I finally caught him. I hugged my Johnny Pooh. His eyes got extremely enlarged. That’s because he’s amazed at how fast I am. I hugged him with every bit of strength I had within in me. He was overwhelmed with the amount of affection I expressed. He grew red in the face. That’s why I love him.
