Once upon a time there was a Mr. Squirrel. Mr. Squirrel was married to Mrs. Squirrel and together they had five teenage squirrels.
First was Lina, the oldest squirrel. Lina was very nice but her brothers and sisters thought she was sometimes bossy.
Second there was Tim, the second oldest squirrel. Tim was smart and knew how to solve almost every kind of problem. But, he was scrawny and most girls didn’t like him.
Then there was Lil. She was a fun, sweet squirrel. She always helped to make sure everybody was happy and peaceful.
After Lil was Anthony. Unlike his other brother Tim, he was very strong and he had many, many friends.
Finally, there was Ashley. Ashley was the youngest and the cutest. Ashley loved her family and her friends, and she loved being with them,
The Mr. Squirrel and his family all lived together in a beautiful hut. He built their home in the Tall Oak Tree, on the top of the biggest hill in town.
Winter was coming and it was Mr. Squirrel’s job to collect all the acorns he needed for his family to eat while they waited for spring. On his last night of collecting acorns he went outside to get just a few more. It was dark outside and he was on his way back to the Tall Oak Tree to eat dinner with his family. As he was crossing to the park with his big bag of acorns, he saw two bright lights coming right at him. They were too bright, couldn’t see anything, not even the Tall Oak Tree. He ran and ran away as fast ascouldd, but the bag of acorns was just too heavy for him. He let go of the bag and ran to the park. He climbed all the way up to the Tall Oak Tree, and into his home without any acorns. The five teenage squirrels knew they had to do something to get the acorns back. The next morning the five of them woke up really early and went out in search for more acorns. By the time Mr. and Mrs. Squirrel woke up the five teenagers surprised them with enough acorns to get through the rest of the winter. And they all lived happily ever after.
