The Girl
When I looked out the window I saw something. I saw something that made my heart skip a beat. It was a girl holding a lantern, all by herself, during the middle of the night. I ran to my mom telling her what I saw, but when she looked out the window she saw nothing. But when I looked out the window she was still there looking up at me with a big grin planted on her face. My mom said nothing to be scared of then sent me off to bed again. When I looked out of the window for the third time I saw the girl advancing toward our house. The door downstairs slammed shut and sounded like it was bolted shut. There were footsteps creaking along the hallway and down into my mom’s room. NO! But I was to late. The girl had gotten into my mom’s room and then I heard an ear shattering scream. The girl had taken my mom’s life and I was next.
