My Angel
She laid her head down in my lap, I love you she said. I put my arms around her. I love you to I said. You are like my mommy she said. I pulled her into my lap and hugged her close against me. I am your mommy I said kissing the top of her head. I closed my eyes laid my head on top of hers. I stroked her hair and looked out over the ocean. Can I tell you a secret, she asked me. She pulled her head back and looked up into my face inches from hers. She leaned her face towards my ear, and I leaned down towards her. I know who my daddy is, she said.
