Gerald is a new transfer student at Tiger High. When Gerald transfers, he realizes that students are campaigning for class president. The two students running for president are Benny and Bobby. Benny is the starting quarterback for the varsity football team. Bobby, on the other hand, is the smartest person in the class. As you may expect, Benny is much more popular than Bobby. Benny is the typical movie jock, the most popular kid in school, a ladies' man, and filthy rich. Bobby is the typical movie nerd, teacher’s pet, not popular, and wears massive bifocals. Gerald is conflicted about who he wants to vote for, so he goes to Benny and Bobby. Gerald asks them why he should vote for them. Benny says, “I am the most popular person in the school, and everyone loves me.” Bobby says, “I am the smartest person in the school, so I am obviously the best pick.” Gerald realizes neither candidate has any true motives or reasons for running. Gerald decides he is going to join the ballot. Gerald advocates how he will make advancements to the school environment. Gerald wins the election even though he is new to the school.
