Mine (Excerpt from the book)
After that, People stared at me. I didn’t know what happened. I turned around. Nothing came out of the missile pipe. What’s going on? I turned on my radio, and Alpha’s voice came out,
“It’s jammed!”
I couldn’t believe what was happening. Suddenly, a loud voice got my attention.
“Attack! Uphold your positions! Kill Comacoocoo and his army! Bring peace to the world!” The commander yelled.
Marching drums started. Footsteps were moving toward me. Guns were clicking.
People were chanting “America! America!”
My heart started pounding faster and faster, faster than I’ve ever felt before. My head became dizzy. My team all looked at me. Sweat came down from my forehead. My hands shook unceasingly. My legs weakened. I fell down onto my podium.
“What do we do now?” I asked with a shaky voice.
“Fight on!” Rob-Tim yelled out, particularly to me.
Okay, I thought. My mind and my body had an imbroglio about what to do. My mind won, so I slowly stood up. I used all my strength to lift up my right arm to point and yelled, “Attack!”
My men went straight into the opposing army. A bullet went into my left arm. I groaned loudly. Then, another went into my left leg.
“Get down! You are going to get killed up there!” Delta yelled.
I walked slowly down from my podium and went inside the medical area to lie down. I thought my life was going to end soon.
“Aminoho, body, restore!” I said to activate the magical healing power.
Using that power is going to notify the aliens, and I hated the aliens to find out what I was doing on Earth at that time, because they certainly wouldn’t like it. And the consequences are far more than I could ever imagine. But I had no other choice other than to finish what I started, and the only way was to use the power to restore my body.
I stepped up again, with full armor this time. I marched to the front of my men.
“Forward!” I yelled.
“Comacoocoo, this might be the end of our lives,” Delta said behind me.
“Well then, make every moment count!” I responded loudly.
“Think of dad and mom, would they be happy to lose us?” She asked.
I shot forward. Tears began to form in my eyes.
“Mom and dad don’t care about us anymore. They couldn’t stop us. This is our dream, we are going to make it come true!” I said.
“But isn’t it selfish to kill people just to get our dream come true?” She asked.
“It’s too late now, you are very welcome to quit!” I yelled at her.
Suddenly, a bullet went towards us. It missed me, but it went straight into Delta’s heart. She instantly fell down.
“Delta!” I yelled and bend down, “Are you alright?”
No response was given. The sky turned even darker. Dark clouds formed. Rain fell on her face.
“Delta! Deltacoco! Don’t die! This is all my fault” I shouted her name once again.
She still didn’t respond. There was no sign of breathing. I wished that time had stopped so I could spend some time with her instead of fighting. But it didn’t happen.
“No! ” I screamed at the top of my lungs.
Another bullet shot at me and hit my protective jacket. I took a deep breath. I lifted up my head. I turned my soft face into a war face and wiped off my tears.
“Delta, I’m going to fight this fight. I’m going to kill them, just like they killed you!” I said.
I held her hand for a couple seconds and hurried up to catch up to my army.
