R.A.N.G.E.R. part 2
Read part one first!!!
"Okay, time to go" he said unexpectedly to Ray. "Wait but what's a" he
managed before the man clamped his hand over Rays mouth again and
said quite simply into Rays ear "Shut up, would you!" And then they
were on there way again, the little man pulling Ray along once again
with an even faster pace than before.
Ray resigned himself to a long walk so he followed along as fast as he
could. But, unexpectedly, they stopped at an average-looking door that
nobody really seemed to be noticing.
Then Ray realized that the door was so unnoticeable and normal that it
would probably be invisible too anyone who wasn't to close to it. And
even then, that person would have to actually be looking for the door
before they noticed it.
The man knocked. After a moment, someone opened the door for him.
"Come with me," said the man "If you don't want to be caught by the
police, that is." He added, raising an eyebrow.
Ray hurriedly shook his head. "I think I'd like to go with you" he said
quickly, and then added in, "what's your name, though? That's what I
meant to ask." "The name's Keith," he said, going inside and pulling
Ray in behind him.
"And what's a..."he was about to say 'Ranger', but, as he looked
around, he saw that the walls were covered with guns. There were guns
in many different shapes and sizes. There was even a gun disguised as
an umbrella!
"Where are we, some sort of gun museum?" Ray asked eagerly, staring at
all of the guns. "No boy," said Keith, "we're in the Ranger center of
operations for this city."
"Ranger... Center of operations?" Asked Ray. "Yes boy,” said Keith
"what is a Ranger though?" Ray questioned. "Sorry boy," said Keith,
not sounding in the least bit sorry. "But I don't have the authority
to tell yah that. I'm simply here to bring you to a man who can tell
yah that"
