Heartbeats
In every heartbeat, there is passion- the adept fingers of a pianist strumming across the keys of a Grand piano- the soft, red, velvety interior of love, of adoration, a growing independence- tree branches clawing out in infinitely many directions, all twisting and turning towards the sky, and at the end of it all, bliss- a relief of being, the realization that I am you and you are me and we are all the same, we all have eyes and brains and fingers and collarbones and hearts and they are all beautiful, escaping like birds into the disappearing atmosphere of our arteries, veins, capillaries, blood, muscle tissue, tendons, ligaments and out through our noses and mouths and extending so magnificently into every corner of the world, of the Solar System, of the Milky Way, of the Universe.
